Catching Falling Stars

Catching Falling Stars: It looked to be a lovely evening. There was a feeling that maybe, just maybe, there may be a show in the sky that night. A shower of sorts. But no, not a rain shower but a shower coming from the heavens above. A Meteor shower with enchanting glitter, soaring through the night sky like cosmic lightning bugs. Now, the night in question had a crisp smell to it, so she wrapped herself up in her warm coat. Then, having a feeling that she may have a need for an umbrella, she grabbed the Moon-shaped one hanging on the wall by the door. Now, there is a special place on this lonely hill, called Star Hill, where she likes to go and watch shows, such as the one happening this evening. Out the door she went, laughing and singing her way through the frosty night. This happening was being called “The Night of the Falling Stars” meteor shower. She climbed Star Hill and took a seat on the ground to wait for the show to begin. The night around her got darker and darker, but the sky remained calm. Then, just before sunrise, across the heavens, she spied the first shooting star. Then, after that, another one and another one until the evening sky was filled with shooting stars.

With the number of stars streaking across the sky, the night became brighter than it was before the start of the show. Thinking she might get hit on the head by one of the many falling stars, she opened her umbrella. When she did, a wind suddenly appeared and turned her parasol inside out. She stood holding her inside-out moon-shaped umbrella as hard as she could without getting blown away. Peering up, she noticed that her umbrella was filling with falling stars. Oh, how lucky am I, she thought. The wind stopped, and then the falling stars followed. Walking back home with her pockets filled with stars, she thought that if ever this event were to happen again, she would recommend to anyone else that may go to take an umbrella so that they can catch a falling star and put it in their pocket for a rainy day.                                                                From the book “Enchanted Dreams, The Moon, Sun and Stars.” To see more, go to https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0H6CBDMVL for the paperback and https://www.lulu.com/shop/david-krafcik/enchanted-dreams/hardcover/product-84zmpv4.html?srsltid=AfmBOoqr8NaTy_S9yF4bH9HtbQ5-_MNp8_rmXMZjVGSMImui_qFwumwi&page=1&pageSize=4  for the hardcopy. When the Moon Danced with the Sun

When the Moon Danced with the Sun:  The dance began before they met. It started with the Sun chasing the Moon around the world. When the Sun could not take the hunt any longer, it finally called out to the Moon. They pause their chase to look at each other. “What is it?” asked the Moon. Only smiling, the Sun holds out his hand for the Moon to take. The stars in the sky all assemble to watch what is to happen. Below them, the ocean starts to rise and fall. As it does, the sea’s voice creates music with its roar and the crash of its waves lashing the shore. With that, the Sun and Moon begin to dance. Shining in the sky, dancing the night away. When morning beckoned, the dance came to an end. Bowing to one and the other, the time had come, once again, for the Sun and Moon to go their separate ways. For each to take turns brightening the sky. Enchanted Dreams, The Moon, Sun, and Stars

Enchanted Dreams: Moon, Sun, and Stars is an illuminated anthology of cosmic fables that personifies the heavens to explore the mysteries of the human spirit. In this realm, the Sun is a keeper of radiant strength, the Moon a silent guardian of silvered secrets, and the Stars are the whispers of ancient seekers. Pairing singular, evocative ink-and-watercolor paintings with lyrical prose, this collection guides readers through a celestial mythos in which the light above serves as a mirror to the resilience we carry within. It is a “gallery-style” journey designed for those who seek wisdom in the rhythm of the universe. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0H6CBDMVL

Leave the Unknown, unknown

The portal snapped open, and the Wisdom Seeker stepped onto his next planet.  Night had fallen. The sky was pitch black, without a single star, A detail he immediately found strange. In front of him stood a large stone stela inscribed with the words: “Sometimes it is best to leave the unknown, unknown.” The message seemed odd, especially since his mission was to know the unknowable. Leaning against the stela was a metal shovel, as if daring him to investigate further. Reminded of his inquisitive nature, he picked it up and began digging. After just a few shovelfuls, he was startled to find stars—of all sizes—filling the hole. Curious, he paused, then began clearing more earth to expose more stars. As he did this, the stars seemed to awaken and started to vibrate, then, to his shock, they emerged from the hole like ants from a mound. Quickly, he was knee-deep in stars with still more pouring out around him. Fearing he might drown, he threw down the shovel, grabbed his staff, and summoned the portal. It was time to make a quick exit from the planet or be swallowed by the ever-emerging stars. The Wisdom Seeker later informed that the stars had eventually overrun the planet and, in doing so, created a new Sun that still shines brightly in the cosmos.

The Wind Of Change

In a world that demands “wholeness,” there is a defiant beauty in being composite. You don’t have to be perfect to show bravery or keep moving forward. What matters is having the courage to face challenges and knowing how to stand strong when life tests your limits. It’s important to recognize the visible and invisible struggles that shape how you move through the world. Others might see you and think you’re a tragedy. But really, you are a masterpiece of resilience. Even if life has broken you at times, remember that light shines brightest through the cracks and that true strength is not just surviving the breaks, but rising, shining, and transforming them into the very reason you stand tall.

and Wings to Fly

Spread your wings, touch the sky, and catch the wind that may carry you up to greater heights.  Within your heart, have dreams of hope. With hope, you can break free of the shackles that hold you back and soar beyond what seemed impossible, giving you the strength and courage to rise above your pain and fears, to challenge the unknown, knowing the universe is alive with endless possibilities. http://www.agelwingartfarm.com

My Guardian Angels Wear Hard Hats

The world is a blazing hot orange furnace, a place where the air hums with so much heat that it is a constant struggle to survive. Yet there he stood steady with crutches on both arms and braces upon his feet to help him navigate through a brand new world that suddenly was no longer familiar. A place that held many new obstacles. How did he get here? The answer didn’t really matter; he was now here in a new form of body and mind. Life is difficult for the able-bodied folks, but for a person of different ability, it is a much, much more dangerous and daunting deal. Having a big heart and grit helps, but sometimes it takes more than that. It takes help from above. No, not the regular guardian angels, but guardian angels that are unafraid to get their hands a little dirty in order to watch over folks like him. Guardian Angels who protect the hard-to-protect. Guardian Angels who handle the heavy lifting. Guardian Angels that wear hard hats.

Just A Shadow of Himself

Just A Shadow of Himself; He had come early through the darkness of night in hopes of finding light and gathering new strength from the Sun. As he stood atop the hill, he watched as the Sun rose from its slumber and, to his pleasant surprise, greeted him with full glory and energy, casting its rays upon his face. In that moment, his long-held hope had finally become reality—the feeling of a new beginning of renewed strength. Before him lay the promise of a bright future, and behind him cast his shadow, a shadow that held every fall he’d ever taken and every weight he had ever carried. It was time to let it go and to never look back, but only forward.

Reflecting Pond

Reflecting Pond ; The figure in blue and green stands tall, with crutches on both arms, peering at his reflection in the water’s mirror. All around him, chaos swirls in orange and red. He is there to seek comfort from a new life filled with turmoil. The image he casts in the water shifts and transforms, reflecting not only his outward appearance but also his inner life or spirit. This suggests an ongoing search for clarity, peace, and a new perspective. In the Reflecting Pond, there is a moment for contemplation and meditation, where one realizes that although you cannot control what has happened, you can control how you respond. Not all is lost if you find a way to make it your own. www,angelwingartfarm.com

No Stairway to Heaven

The painting “No Stairway to Heaven” by artist Krafcik, executed in Reverse Glass Painting, immediately draws the viewer in with its bold use of color and dynamic composition. The use of bright, contrasting, strong colors tells a tale of a hard but determined journey. At first, you see a man with crutches and a staircase. As you look again, the man and the staircase become one. In this dreamlike scene, the staircase shows not only his journey but also his strong will. A determination of his climb, a climb that is both physical and emotional. The bright, wild colors show his struggles, but the path is marked by a glowing blue, a sign of hope and strength.  Where the orange signifies the chaotic, difficult reality he now faces. The colors visibly express the constant effort to maintain one’s own shape, identity, and path amid overwhelming intensity and odds. A work of art that is not just about a man climbing, but about a spirit rising beyond its limits.
