Let me introduce you to butterfly friends, Vanessa, Julia, and Mariposa. In the world of butterflies, they, as a rule, rarely travel far from the ground, and like to visit flowers seeking what may be hidden in them in the form of a treat or two. One day, while busily going about their butterfly business, a strange wind began to blow. It was unusual because the wind of this land usually travels north to south or east to west, but as I just said, this was a different type of wind. Now, this wind that blew that day formed a whirlwind, causing an updraft that caught both Vanessa and her friends in its grasp and swirled them high above the clouds.                                                         When the wind had finally stopped, our butterfly friends tried to figure out what had happened and where they may be.                                                                                                                        It seemed they were very high in the sky above the clouds. After all the excitement, feeling very tired and confused, they looked for a spot where they could sit and rest. Thankfully, waiting for them were mounds of grass that had poked their heads above the clouds. Each finding their own mound to rest, they took a seat where they finally had the time to gaze about their new surroundings.                                                                                                                                                   To their surprise and delight, the site, above the clouds, revealed the cosmos like they had never seen it before. Filling the sky with an amazing show were the Moon, Sun, shooting stars, and planets of all different shapes, sizes, and colors.                                                                                                       Our butterfly friends sat still for quite a while, which is very strange for a butterfly, and took it all in, pointing at different things and laughing away. They were having such fun that none of the butterflies wanted the show to end, but as with all things in life, eventually, the fun comes to an end.                                                                                                                                                       With that, the same wind that had brought them to this cosmic event began to blow once again. This time, however, when the wind swept them up, it blew them downward, taking our three butterfly friends back to the spot where they had started the day.                                                                When the wind stopped whirling, they were happy to see that they were once again back home, safely, and had arrived in the field of flowers.                                                                                       As they sat on the grass, the three looked at each other in disbelief at what had just happened.               Butterflies, as I said before, do not sit in one place very long and then resume their foraging from flower to flower.                                                                                                                                             Even though Vanessa, Julia, and Maripoas were very busy collecting nectar, all three wore smiles on their faces, had a new song in their hearts, and had a great memory of their trip to the cosmos. Now, even when you find yourself busy doing the tasks that you need to do each day, be like our butterfly friends. Feel free to explore your imagination and take the time to appreciate the natural world and all that surrounds it. You’ll be glad you did. https://www.redbubble.com/shop/ap/171528962?ref=studio-promote                     https://fineartamerica.com/featured/vanessa-and-the-butterflys-david-krafcik.html?newartwork=true
